Carrefour optimizes profitability through planning![]() The Carrefour group is the second largest distributor in the world and the largest distributor in Europe, with more than 400,000 employees around the world. It has nearly 10,000 stores, operated on its own account or via its franchise network. Present in 32 countries, it achieves more than 60% of its turnover (112 billion euros in 2010) outside France.
The mass retail giant is reorganizing its non-food business. In order to boost productivity through better inventory and product lifecycle management, it implemented the IBM Cognos TM1 tool, with help from experts from 2B Consulting.
